Thought on Kira: He's a hero.
Bio: (must be two-three paragraphs): Jayce's mother got pregnant with him when she was fifteen. His father left the second he heard there would be a baby, leaving Jayce's mother alone. When he was born, she had only just turned sixteen, and was not ready to be a mother. She did everything she could to keep Jayce at a distance, from leaving him alone for days at a time to talking down to him. As a result of being left alone, Jayce developed severe abandonment and trust issues, making it hard for him to get close to anyone for fear that they would leave him alone. The way that she talked to him made Jayce feel insignificant and unimportant, destroying his self esteem.

When Jayce was eight, his mother started using drugs. She used just about anything she could get her hands on, from heroine to meth. When she was high, she paid no attention to Jayce, worsening his issues with abandonment. Soon after discovering drugs, she took up alcohol. When she was drunk, it was nothing like when she was high. She noticed Jayce, but only acknowledged him to yell at him, screaming about how he'd ruined her life. In Jayce's opinion, however, this was better than when she ignored him altogether. When she hated him, at least she knew he existed.

For a long time, Jayce considered suicide. It seemed to be the only real option, after all. What did he have to live for? A mother who didn't know he existed, bad grades and no friends. He was close to suicide when he first heard of something that sparked an interest in him, so he decided to wait it out a few days and hear more about the mysterious killer Kira who had been mentioned in the news story that stopped Jayce from taking his life.

Kira started killing when Jayce was in his early teens. At first, Jayce was skeptical about Kira's intentions, but when drug dealers started dropping dead of heart attacks, Jayce was amazed. His mother stopped buying drugs, because there was no one to buy them from, and so she stopped ignoring him and started drunkenly yelling at him, and therefore acknowledging him. For this, Jayce considered Kira a hero.

When he was seventeen, Jayce came home from school to find his mother dead on the couch, bottle of beer still in hand. The years of drug and alcohol had finally caught up to her, and she was gone. Jayce was sad, but only a little. More than anything, he was relieved. After his mother's funeral, he left town and went off to Japan to be closer to the action.

A week before his twentieth birthday, Jayce stumbled upon a notebook. It was a Death Note. He quickly realized that this was Kira's weapon, this was what Kira used to kill with. Amazed, he tested it out on a criminal he'd heard about on the news not long ago. He saw on his television when he arrived home that the criminal was dead and the notebook was real. Immediately, Jayce went to work helping Kira, killing off criminals whenever he found the time. He continues to do so and hopes to one day meet the original Kira.
